Physical Description/Subject Matter | ||
A grassy hill rises up to a line of trees with a large rock. A rock wall and wooden fence run along the hillside into the background. The sky takes up half the canvas with soft white clouds. The trees bear no leaves, except for a sparse evergreen tree to the left. Hibbard uses a variety of colors to capture the green hillside — oranges, reds, and blues do the green landscape to show sunlight reflecting on the grass and shadows spreading across the hill. |
